Mrs. Pauline Ridley Bouldin wrote to Representative George B. Schwabe about the release of fathers from the service. Schwabe had introduced a bill in Congress for the automatic release of fathers, but it was not passed due to opposition from the military authorities. Bouldin urged Schwabe to support a new bill drafted by Representative Rankin of Mississippi to expedite the release of all men from the armed services. She also expressed disappointment in General Eisenhower's policy towards volunteers in the military.
