Mrs. Irene Austin Beaty wrote a letter to Congressman George Schwabe inquiring about Bill 127 which provides a bonus for World War II veterans. Congressman Schwabe responded, stating that the bill is pending before the Ways and Means Committee and no action has been taken yet. He expressed interest in the bill and assured Mrs. Beaty that he will personally consider the provisions of the measure when it is reported out by the committee. Mrs. Beaty expressed her support for the bill, believing that disabled soldiers deserve the help and financial support provided by the bonus.
