A veteran of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Mr. Begknife, wrote to Congressman George B. Schwabe urging him to take action on three bills that would benefit veterans. The bills include equitable adjusted service pay for World War II veterans, pensions for World War I veterans, and insurance credits for military service under the Social Security Act. Congressman Schwabe responded, stating that he is not on the committees handling these bills but will consider them if they come before the House for consideration. He also expressed doubts about the bills being acted upon soon due to other legislative priorities.
