Mrs. Lee Gwinn wrote to Representative George B. Schwabe regarding a bill seeking to provide Oklahoma veterans with homesteads in Chouteau, Oklahoma. She requested details about the project for her husband, who is interested in acquiring a farm. The Secretary, Camille M. Gameau, acknowledged the letter and informed Mrs. Gwinn that Mr. Schwabe is not expected back in Washington until after the New Year. The bill is pending in committee and no action will be taken until spring, so Mrs. Gwinn was advised to write again in March or April for more information.
