Mrs. Jesse D. Smith wrote a letter to Representative George B. Schwabe inquiring about the "veterans' paradise" near Pryor, Oklahoma, for veterans to establish homesteads. Schwabe's bill, HR 4589, seeks to subdivide a tract of land for Oklahoma residents who entered the service during the war. If Mrs. Smith's husband was a resident of Oklahoma at the time he entered the service, he may be eligible to apply for a homestead. Mrs. Smith requested information about the amount of land in the tract and nearby towns.
