Mr. Eula Phillips of Bushyhead, Oklahoma inquired about the availability of homestead land in Wellton, Arizona for veterans. Representative George B. Schwabe contacted the General Land Office, and they confirmed that there are remaining vacant public lands in Yuma County. They provided information to Mr. Phillips on how to request a list of townships with vacant lands and the regulations under the Act of September 27, 1944. They also offered further assistance and enclosed relevant informational material for Mr. Phillips to use.
