Mr. Morrison wrote to Congressman Schwabe seeking clarification on whether veterans discharged before the date of the Pearl Harbor incident are eligible for mustering-out pay. Congressman Schwabe explains that veterans discharged before the law was passed in February 1944 but after the attack on Pearl Harbor in December 1941 are eligible for mustering-out pay. He clarifies that veterans discharged before Pearl Harbor are not eligible. Congressman Schwabe advises Mr. Morrison to refer to the law for more information and expresses willingness to assist further if needed.
