George B. Schwabe received a telegram from Bishop's Restaurants, Inc. expressing opposition to the Pepper Bill and requesting that retail and service trades be left under state regulation. Schwabe responded by stating his own opposition to the bill and his belief in returning control to the states. He reassured Bishop of his position on the matter.
