In a letter dated May 16, 1946, George B. Schwabe acknowledges receiving a letter from Phil B. Drane regarding the Gwynne Bill H.R. 2788 and the McCarran Bill S-7. Schwabe expresses his support for the Gwynne Bill, believing it will improve conditions for industry, but notes that the New Deal majority in Congress may not favor it. He promises to thoroughly familiarize himself with the bill and vote for it if it comes up for consideration.
