The letter is from the President of Ozark Chemical Company to Congressman George Schwabe expressing support for the Gwynne Bill and the McCarran Bill, which aim to give employers and industry more protection. Congressman Schwabe responds, stating he is familiar with the Gwynne Bill and supports it, but is not as familiar with the McCarran Bill. He expresses his willingness to thoroughly review it and vote for it if it will improve conditions, but not if it strengthens bureaucracy. Schwabe also expresses concern that the New Deal majority in Congress may not support the Gwynne Bill due to influence from labor racketeers and others.
