The Bureau of Indian Affairs is undergoing yet another reorganization, with a proposed $2 million study to assess the entire Indian affairs spectrum. Senator James Abourezk is pushing for this study, but it is questioned what new information it will provide. Senator Dewey Bartlett has proposed a $300,000 management study of the BIA by an outside professional group, which could potentially offer new insights into the agency's issues.
