 Item — Box: 29, Folder: 32
Identifier: CAC_CC_003_2_29_32_0002
John H. Kyl, Assistant Secretary of the Interior, expresses regret that there has not been enough time to fully consider S.J. Res. 133, a joint resolution to establish the American Indian Policy Review Commission. He states that the Administration's Indian policy should not include unilateral termination, and emphasizes the importance of enacting the President's Indian package and consulting with Indigenous peoples on any policy changes. Kyl does not take a position on the resolution at this time but offers to submit a report later.
