Senator James Abourezk is opening public hearings on S. J. Res. 133 to establish a National Indian Policy Review Commission. Testimony was heard from the Administration and various Indian organizations. A panel of individual Indian leaders will speak on the proposal, with Vine Deloria as moderator. The committee will question the panel members to make recommendations to strengthen the resolution.
