Glenda Berryhill Fowler writes a letter to U.S. Senator Dewey Bartlett expressing concerns about the treatment of patients at Claremore Indian Hospital. She describes mistreatment of elderly patients, long wait times, lack of cleanliness, and overall laziness and sullen attitudes of staff. Fowler requests an investigation into the hospital and copies of the letter are sent to various government officials and the hospital administrator. Senator Bartlett responds, acknowledging the concerns and informing Fowler that the issue will be presented to the Advisory Board. Senator Bartlett suggests Fowler stay in touch with the Board to express her concerns further.
