The Chamber of Commerce in Anadarko, Oklahoma, sent a letter to Ms. Hazel Elbert, Special Assistant to Senator Dewey Bartlett, requesting information on Indian Health funding and services. They expressed concerns about the lack of access to quality healthcare for Native Americans and proposed a system similar to Medicare or insurance for Indians. The Chamber of Commerce emphasized the importance of addressing these issues and requested assistance and cooperation from Ms. Elbert and Senator Bartlett. They followed up with another letter in March seeking a response to their initial inquiry.
