There are plans for a new Indian Hospital in Claremore, which could be the largest construction project in the town's history. $8 million is in the federal budget for the project, but competition for funds is intense. Supporters and opponents will have a chance to voice their opinions. If the project is approved, construction will take around 2 and a half years. The current facility is outdated and serving a large number of Native Americans in Northeastern Oklahoma. It is important for local residents and organizations to show support for the new hospital by contacting Rep. Julia Butler HanSenator
