The letter is a response from Senator Dewey F. Bartlett to Ms. Mary Cook, a public health nurse in Crownpoint, New Mexico, thanking her for her letter regarding the need for health care facilities in the area. Senator Bartlett acknowledges the need for better health care facilities in Oklahoma and throughout the Indian Health Service, and expresses support for the Indian Health Care Improvement Act. He assures Ms. Cook that her comments and opinions will be considered during the markup of the Health Care Improvement Act in Committee.
