The letter is a thank you note from U.S. Senator Dewey F. Bartlett to Mr. O. J. Collins, the Director of Student Aids at East Central State College, for his help in assisting Rocky Bass and his family. Mr. Collins had also reached out to Senator Bartlett to discuss the summer plans of Rocky and his wife Patti, who were seeking employment opportunities. Senator Bartlett expressed his gratitude for Mr. Collins' assistance and offered his support in return.
