Response to Senator Bartlett's Inquiry Regarding Health Services for Dolores Whiteman, 1973-08-31
Item — Box: 32, Folder: 9
Identifier: CAC_CC_003_2_32_9_0039
The letter is a response to Senator Dewey F. Bartlett regarding bills incurred by Dolores Whiteman at the Visiting Nurse Association in Oklahoma City. It explains that Whiteman was referred to the Talihina State Hospital for Tuberculosis by the Clinton Indian Hospital and was discharged after a seven month stay. The letter also clarifies that Whiteman was referred to the VNA by the Welfare Department, not the Clinton Hospital, and that the Clinton Service Unit denied payment for the visits. Whiteman has since returned to the Clinton Indian Hospital for further treatment. The Area Director, John W. Davis, expresses appreciation for the Senator's interest in the matter.
