Senator Dewey F. Bartlett thanks Secretary Caspar W. Weinberger for assisting in acquiring new equipment, specifically fluoroscopic facilities, for the Claremore Indian Hospital in Oklahoma. The Secretary assures that the equipment will be put to good use and that the hospital will have the proper staff and equipment to serve the needs of the Indian communities. The Indian Health Service is in the process of upgrading its facilities, with plans for a new hospital in Claremore. Senator Bartlett had previously expressed concerns about the lack of proper diagnostic equipment at the hospital. The hospital director also confirms the addition of fluoroscopic facilities to the existing X-Ray equipment as requested.
