The Oklahoma State Chapter of the National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials passed a resolution to authorize Indian Housing Authorities to organize a meeting with the Oklahoma Congressional Delegation to seek support for the continuation of the Mutual-Help Housing Program for the Indian segment. Governor Overton James was appointed as the official spokesman for the group of delegates. The chapter is concerned about potential changes in housing direction and wants to ensure that the Indian segment is not left out. The resolution was sent to Senator Dewey Bartlett for his support.
