The Inter-Tribal Council of the Five Civilized Tribes, organized in 1950, has officers including President B. Bob Stopp, Vice-President Floyd L. Harjo, Executive Secretary Mitchel O. Moscow, Treasurer Suzanne Heard, and Chaplain Rev. Jonas L. Partridge. They are requesting an evaluation of Indian Housing in Oklahoma as part of a larger evaluation of public housing in the United States. They invite Mr. Moscow and his task force to visit the area for three days to see the impact of the Indian Housing Program. A meeting is scheduled for July 9, followed by a meeting of the Inter-Tribal Council on July 13. Members of the Oklahoma Congressional Delegation were also involved in discussions regarding lifting the moratorium on financing applications for housing.
