 Item — Box: 32, Folder: 18
Identifier: CAC_CC_003_2_32_18_0017
Lionel Le Clair reached out to Senator Dewey Bartlett regarding his father, Perry Le Clair's, difficulty in obtaining housing assistance through the Bureau of Indian Affairs. The Bureau of Indian Affairs was unaware of any previous application submitted by Perry Le Clair, but assisted him in filling out a new application. The application was to be reviewed for eligibility in the Housing Improvement Program. Senator Bartlett forwarded Lionel's concerns to the Department of the Interior for further investigation and assistance. Perry Le Clair, who worked for the Postal Department and was off work due to a back injury, was in need of housing assistance on the Old Ponca Indian Reservation.
