The letter dated May 19, 1966 from E. L. Upton to Senator Fred Harris in Washington, D.C. is regarding a payment issue with Mable H. Sargent and the Anadarko Indian Agency. Mrs. Sargent claims she did not receive checks in amounts of $850.50 and $1,000.00 that were supposed to be sent to her in May 1965. She is struggling to get help from the Agency to determine the status of the checks and when duplicates will be issued. Mrs. Sargent is ready to pay her rent once she receives the money from the checks, which were related to the sale of land in her mother's estate. A stop payment order on the $850.50 check is enclosed for the Senator's information.
