Rex Chandler, owner of The Broken Bow Hardware in Oklahoma, expresses his concerns in a letter to Senator Fred Harris about the mixing of races, civil rights, forced integration, and the war. He questions why it is necessary to mix races and why the government seems to prioritize the interests of African Americans over other races such as Native Americans. He also criticizes the lack of representation of the opinions of the people back home in Congress and accuses President Johnson of being a dictator.
