Response to Complaint Regarding Treatment at Lake Oologah by Mr. and Mrs. James Graves, 1973-10-02

 Item — Box: 9, Folder: 4
Identifier: CAC_CC_109_5_9_4_0004
Mr. and Mrs. James Graves complained about treatment at Lake Oologah to Congressman James R. Jones, who received a response from the Acting District Engineer for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in Tulsa. The response explained that the Corps personnel were enforcing regulations regarding camping limits, and Mr. Graves had overextended his stay at a campsite. Although Mr. Graves was argumentative, no citation was issued, and the Corps of Engineers emphasized the importance of enforcing regulations in a firm but polite manner.
