The low bid for clearing 10,000 acres of land for the Kaw Reservoir was $576,450 below the government estimate. The successful bidder must dispose of the wood in a non-wasteful manner. The construction bids for boat ramps and public use areas exceeded the government estimate by $85,924. Bank stabilization on the Verdigris River is also expected to cost more than estimated.
