The Native American Women's Association (NAWA) submitted a project proposal in October 1976 for a project period from August 1, 1977 to July 31, 1980. The project was under the North Central Inter-Tribal Health Council and included a financial plan, grant application for health services, project narrative, goal, methods of procedures, resources available, organization of the project, evaluation, job descriptions, and other supporting documents. The project aimed to address the needs of Native American women in the area and had a budget request of $199,494 for the first year.
