The Native American Women's Association (NAWA) submitted a project proposal in October 1976 for a project period from August 1, 1977 to July 31, 1980. The project was under the North Central Inter-Tribal Health Council and included a financial plan, grant application for health services, project narrative, goal, methods of procedures, resources available, organization of the project, evaluation, job descriptions, and other supporting documents.
