Identifier: CAC_CC_047_1_5_9_0007
Mr. G.H. Gates wrote to Congressman George B. Schwabe expressing concern about H.R. 2232, the Fair Employment Practice Act. Gates believes that the bill would negatively impact business and employment. Schwabe, in response, states that he is familiar with the bill and opposes it, as he believes it would add unnecessary bureaucracy. He suggests Gates reach out to Senator Elmer Thomas and Democratic-New Deal members for support against the bill. Schwabe also emphasizes his opposition to bureaucracy and the New Deal.
