Correspondence Regarding Opposition to the Fair Employment Practice Act of 1945, 1945-05-15

The first letter is from George B. Schwabe, a member of Congress, to A. Do Cochran, an attorney, regarding their disapproval of the Fair Employment Practice Act (H.R. 2232) and their decision not to support it. Schwabe mentions that they will discuss the matter with other individuals and suggests that Cochran ask Democratic friends to write to other members of Congress. The second letter is from A.S. Cochran to George Schwabe, expressing their belief that the bill should be killed and asking Schwabe to watch it closely and discuss it with other individuals.
