Mr. Marshall wrote to Congressman Schwabe urging him to oppose the Free Employment Practice Act, as he believed it would be detrimental to businesses and employees. Congressman Schwabe responded, agreeing with Marshall's views and stating that he had no intention of supporting the bill. Schwabe also suggested that Marshall write to other New Deal Congressmen from Oklahoma with the same message.
