Executive Order #9346, issued by President Franklin D. Roosevelt on May 27, 1943, amends Executive Order #8802 by establishing a new Committee on Fair Employment Practice. The purpose of the committee is to eliminate discriminatory employment practices in war industries and the government, ensuring equal opportunities regardless of race, creed, color, or national origin. The committee is responsible for investigating complaints of discrimination, making recommendations to federal departments and agencies, and promoting the utilization and training of manpower without discrimination. The order also includes provisions for contracting agencies, vocational training programs, and the appointment and operation of the committee.
