Schwabe's Letter to G. E. Williams Lumber Company Regarding His Opposition to the Patman Bill and the OPA, 1946-04-15
George B. Schwabe received a telegram urging him to vote against subsidies provided by the Patman Bill and to restrict the OPA. He is against subsidies and has tried to kill the subsidy provision in the bill. He is also against the OPA and was one of only twelve members to vote against its extension. Schwabe is committed to his position on these issues and appreciates the support he has received.
