Congressman George B. Schwabe's Letter to Chairman Doughton Advocating for H.R. 5978, 1946-05-08

George B. Schwabe, a member of the House of Representatives from Oklahoma, wrote a letter to the Chairman of the House Committee on Ways and Means regarding H.R. 5978, a tax-related bill. He enclosed a letter from a prominent tax attorney in Tulsa, Harold E. Rorschach, who recommended the bill for serious consideration. Schwabe urged the committee to give the bill early and serious consideration and to possibly pass it with retroactive provision.
