Correspondence on Post-War Defense Workers' Compensation Legislation, 1945-09-11
The letter is from Mr. Dinsmore expressing his opposition to paying defense workers after the war is over, questioning why they should be paid if they have not saved their wages. He requests that Senator Thomas and Representative Schwab use their influence to defeat any bill that would provide continued payment to defense workers after the plants are closed. He suggests that the money should be spent on soldiers instead. Schwab responds, assuring Dinsmore that he agrees with his views and will vote accordingly on the legislation.
