Correspondence between George B. Schwabe and Walter J. Petty Regarding Veteran Housing Bills, 1945-12-05

The letter from George B. Schwabe, M.C. to Walter J. Petty, Commander of Joe Carson Post No. 1 of The American Legion in Tulsa, Oklahoma, discusses a housing bill for veterans and proposes a homestead project for Oklahoma veterans at the Oklahoma Ordnance Works site. Schwabe expresses his support for the objectives of the Wagner-Ellender-Taft housing bill and requests cooperation and support in moving government-owned houses to alleviate the housing shortage for returning veterans. Petty notifies Schwabe that the American Legion post has unanimously endorsed the housing bill and urges Schwabe to lend his support for its early passage.
