Attorney F.M. Kines wrote to Congressman George B. Schwabe requesting the latest laws pertaining to veterans and widows of the Spanish-American War. Congressman Schwabe acknowledged the request and sent a compilation of laws through the 78th Congress. He also provided information on Public Law 242 that would apply to a widow of a Spanish-American War veteran mentioned in the letter. Application blanks for pension benefits were also enclosed. Congressman Schwabe offered further assistance and Kines expressed his gratitude for the information.
