Correspondence Regarding Veterans' Insurance Legislation in 1946, 1945-01-03

Mr. Gilley wrote to Congressman Schwabe regarding the status of H.R. 4965 and its companion bill S.1677, which are related to veterans' insurance policies. Congressman Schwabe informed Mr. Gilley that hearings were held on the bill and revised bills have been introduced. The new bills, H.R. 5772 and 5773, are being considered by a sub-committee. Congressman Schwabe explained that due to the large number of bills introduced, it is difficult for all of them to receive consideration. He encouraged Mr. Gilley to reach out again if he needed further assistance.
