Congressman George B. Schwabe received a letter from Mrs. B. B. McCollum requesting an increase in food points for returning soldiers and war prisoners. Schwabe presented the matter to the Office of Price Administration, who responded that the current furlough ration for servicemen already exceeds the civilian ration by a significant amount. The Office of Price Administration thanked Schwabe for the information and explained the existing regulations for furlough rations. Schwabe forwarded the response to Mrs. McCollum and requested further consideration of the resolution.
