George B. Schwabe received a letter from I. H. Parkey protesting against the passage of the Pepper Bill (S.1349) which would impose a minimum wage of 65 cents in the restaurant business. Parkey argues that such a wage would be unsustainable for their business and requests Schwabe's help in defeating the bill. Schwabe agrees with Parkey's views and promises to fight against the legislation.
