Correspondence on Wage Regulations Between Congressman George B. Schwabe and Constituent, Claude Eckert, 1946-03-19
Item — Box: 7, Folder: 28
Identifier: CAC_CC_047_1_7_28_0010
Mr. Schwabe, a congressman, received a letter from Mr. Claude Eckert suggesting that the minimum wage of $0.65 per hour should apply only to firms employing 100 or more people, in order to prevent small businesses from being negatively affected. Schwabe appreciates the suggestion and notes that many laws passed under the New Deal Administration have favored big businesses over small ones. Schwabe thanks Eckert for the input and wishes him well.
