Correspondence Regarding Wage Stabilization and Labor Rights in Oklahoma, 1946, 1946-06-19
Mr. Grisham of Local 627 Operating Engineers in Tulsa, Oklahoma is seeking assistance with establishing statewide wage stabilization for workers in his line of work. He has requested help from Mr. Schwabe, who received information from Mr. McDonald of the International Union of Operating Engineers. Grisham believes that the state of Oklahoma is discriminated against in terms of wage scales and is requesting fair wage increases. He is also concerned about predetermining wage scales for upcoming jobs in the First and Second Congressional Districts. Grisham hopes that Schwabe's cooperation will help improve labor conditions in Oklahoma.
