The Missouri-Kansas-Texas Railroad Company is protesting the possible partition sale of coal mines in Oklahoma by the War Assets Administration. They believe that the mines should continue to operate under private ownership for the benefit of the territory they serve. Congressman Schwabe, who has a history of involvement with mining issues, is expected to address the matter upon his return to Washington.
