The document is a telegram sent from George B. Schwabe to J.D. Davis opposing the passage of Bill S. 1592. Schwabe states he will use his best efforts to defeat the bill and urges Davis to do everything possible to keep the bill in committee and kill it if it comes to a vote. Davis expresses concern that the bill is inflationary and will raise the cost of building materials, to the detriment of the veterans housing program. Davis requests Schwabe to stop the legislation.
