Correspondence Regarding Support for H.R. 538 and Surplus War Equipment for Soil Conservation Works, 1945-01-03
Mr. Carpenter, Chairman of the Caney Valley Soil Conservation District, wrote to Congressman Schwabe asking for support of a bill that would make surplus war equipment available for soil conservation work. Congressman Schwabe responded, expressing his support for the bill and emphasizing the importance of constituents bringing such bills to his attention. He also mentioned the high number of bills introduced in Congress and enclosed a copy of the bill for Mr. Carpenter's information.
