Correspondence on Official Termination of War: Letters Between George B. Schwabe and M. Nakashima, 1946, 1945-09-06

The letter is from Mr. M. Nakashima to Congressman George B. Schwabe expressing approval of a resolution to declare the war officially closed. Nakashima asks for Schwabe's opinion on when the war may be officially closed and mentions the influence of military organizations on the Administration's decision. Schwabe encourages Nakashima to write to his Congressman and request support for the resolution. Nakashima is hopeful for the war to be officially declared ended before June 1, 1946.
