1945 Correspondence from La-Kee-Kon Garden Club to Congressman George B. Schwabe Regarding Constitutional Amendment Proposal, 1945-01-01 - 1946-12-31

The La-Kee-Kon Garden Club in Nowata, Oklahoma received a letter from Mr. George B. Schwabe regarding a proposed amendment to the Constitution concerning the ratification of treaties. After discussing the matter, the club decided they are opposed to the amendment and believe the current system of requiring a two-thirds majority of the senate works well. They appreciate Mr. Schwabe's letter and are open to hearing more of his views on the topic.
