Miss Gertie Mae Craft from Tulsa, Oklahoma is seeking a recommendation from Representative George B. Schwabe for a position as a clerk in the Accounting Department of the U.S. Army Engineers in the Pacific Area. She mentions her previous employment at the Douglas Aircraft Plant and her acquaintance with Representative Schwabe's son. Representative Schwabe, not personally knowing Miss Craft, writes a letter to Captain Frank M. Albosta recommending her for the position based on her associates and family members. Miss Craft is hopeful that this recommendation will help her secure the job.
