Mr. Wilton D. Johnson applied for a position as a Veterans Employment Representative and Vocational Counselor, but was informed that he did not meet the experience requirements for the job. Honorable George B. Schwabe wrote a letter on Mr. Johnson's behalf, highlighting his qualifications and experience as a former Superintendent of Schools. The matter was referred to the Ninth Civil Service Regional Director in St. Louis, Missouri, for further consideration. Schwabe expressed his willingness to assist Mr. Johnson in any way possible and offered his support for future opportunities.
