The author of the letter, S. R. Lewis, discusses a conversation he had with O. K. Chandler about Indian legislation in Oklahoma. He believes that the proposed bill is the right thing to do and urges Senator E. H. Moore to introduce it in the Senate before adjournment. He also suggests printing and distributing copies of the bill in Oklahoma to inform the public about the injustices faced by Indians. Lewis believes that the bill will be supported by people of all races and political affiliations in Oklahoma.
